Products Description

S960Q steel plate is a high-strength, quenched, and tempered structural steel that conforms to the EN 10025-6 standard. It is designed for applications requiring exceptional strength, good weldability, and high toughness.

info-513-513

The plate has a minimum yield strength of 960 MPa and a tensile strength ranging from 980 to 1150 MPa, ensuring excellent performance in heavy-duty structural components such as cranes, bridges, lifting equipment, and high-load bearing structures.

With an elongation of 12–14% and a Charpy V-notch impact value of ≥30 J at -40°C, S960Q steel maintains outstanding ductility and toughness even in low-temperature environments.

Products Application

EN10025-6 S960Q steel plates are primarily used in high-performance structural applications, where high strength, toughness, and durability are critical.

In bridge construction, S960Q plates serve as girders, deck plates, and load-bearing components, supporting spans of over 100 meters while reducing structural weight due to their minimum yield strength of 960 MPa.

For highway overpasses and viaducts, the steel provides excellent fatigue resistance and impact toughness (≥30 J at –40°C), ensuring long-term stability under repeated traffic loads and dynamic stresses.

In other engineering constructions, S960Q steel is widely applied in cranes, heavy machinery bases, structural frames, and offshore platforms, where both high tensile strength (980–1150 MPa) and good weldability are required.

Its combination of abrasion resistance, low-temperature toughness, and high elongation (12–14%) allows engineers to design slimmer, lighter, yet highly reliable structures, improving both efficiency and safety in modern infrastructure projects.
