S355J0 steel beam h Material properties
Chemical composition: Carbon (C) ≤ 0.22%, Manganese (Mn) ≤ 1.60%, Phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.035%, Sulfur (S) ≤ 0.035%.
Yield strength: ≥ 355 MPa (thickness ≤ 16 mm), decreasing with increasing thickness (minimum 265 MPa).
Tensile strength: 470~630 MPa.
Low-temperature toughness: -20℃ impact energy ≥ 40 J (better than S355JR material), suitable for cold region structures67.
Elongation: ≥ 21%.


S355J0 h beam profile Processing and technology
Hot rolling forming: Controlled rolling and controlled cooling process is adopted to ensure that the cross-section uniformity and dimensional tolerance meet the EN 10034 standard (error ≤ ± 2%).


‌Welding process‌: Submerged arc welding or arc welding is recommended, the interlayer temperature is controlled at 120~150℃, and the ER70S-6 welding wire is matched; it needs to be preheated to above 100℃ (when the thickness is >25mm) to prevent embrittlement of the heat-affected zone.


‌Surface treatment‌: Supports sandblasting and rust removal up to Sa2.5 level, spraying epoxy zinc-rich primer (C4 level environment life of 25 years); hot-dip galvanizing is supported, and pickling needs to be strictly controlled to avoid oxidation residues.

‌Heavy industrial buildings‌: main frame of intelligent stereo garage (dynamic load optimization design, load-bearing efficiency increased by 15%~20%); industrial plant trusses, crane track beams (bending modulus increased by 12% compared with ordinary steel).
