Heat Treatment Process
The plate undergoes quenching and tempering (Q+T) treatment:
Quenching: Rapid cooling from austenitizing temperature (~900°C) to form martensite, increasing hardness and strength.
Tempering: Reheating to ~600°C to improve ductility, relieve internal stresses, and enhance toughness.
This controlled process ensures a balanced combination of strength, toughness, and weldability, suitable for high-performance structural use.
