16Mo3 steel plate material characteristics: heat resistance, corrosion resistance

16Mo3 steel plate is smelted by electric furnace + refining outside the furnace + vacuum degassing, which is called fine-grained killed steel. When the Mn content is less than 5%, the weld metal has very high toughness; when the Mn content is greater than 3%, it is very brittle; when the Mn content is between 60% and 180%, the weld metal has higher strength and toughness.
The size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of 16Mo3 steel plate shall comply with the provisions of EN10029, and the thickness allowable deviation shall be Class B deviation of EN10029.

Delivery status of 16Mo3 steel plate:

16Mo3 steel plate is usually delivered in normalized state. According to the negotiation between the supply and demand parties, it can be delivered in untreated state, or tempered, normalized + tempered, controlled (M), modulated (QT), and flaw detection can be done by level 1, 2, and 3 flaw detection. Performance testing can be done by Z15, Z25, Z35 and other Z-direction performance testing.

Market application of 16Mo3 steel plate:

16Mo3 container plate is mainly used as weldable steel in manufacturing industrial boilers and stainless steel pressure vessels in the petroleum, natural gas and chemical industries, such as reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear reactor pressure vessels, boiler drums, liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, high-pressure water pipes in hydropower stations, turbine volutes and other equipment and components.
