SKH-51 high speed steel Product Introduction
SKH51 steel is a tungsten-molybdenum high-speed steel. The carbide particles of SKH51 steel are fine and uniform. It has the characteristics of high toughness, impact resistance, excellent processability, and good thermoplasticity. It also has good wear resistance, especially it can withstand 600 degrees. It is not easy to soften at high temperatures, has good thermal hardness, the hardness can reach 64HRC, the wear resistance is 2 times higher than high chromium steel, and the toughness is 1.5 times stronger.
SKH51 is an alloy steel with complex composition, containing carbide-forming elements such as tungsten, molybdenum, chromium, and vanadium. The total amount of alloying elements is about 10 to 25%. It can maintain high hardness (above 60HRC) even under high heat generated by high-speed cutting (about 500℃). SKH51 has the characteristics of high red hot hardness, high wear resistance and cutting ability, high impact toughness, fine and uniform grains, and high toughness.
