Hot-rolled H-shaped steel is an economic section steel with an optimized cross-section. Due to the use of the universal rolling method, compared with the I-beam produced by the pass method, it has great advantages in the control and adjustment of product size accuracy. Compared with welded H-shaped steel, hot-rolled H-shaped steel has a uniform cross-section performance, accurate cross-section dimensions, high precision, and lower manufacturing costs. When used in automobiles to replace the original I-beam for manufacturing the girder, it has the advantages of convenient construction, high stiffness, good bending resistance, smooth surface, high work efficiency, and low cost.
Adopting hot-rolled H-shaped steel as the girder of a trailer is a development trend. From the perspective of the trailer girder production process, using hot-rolled H-shaped steel conforms to the national industrial policies of energy conservation, environmental protection, and resource conservation. From the perspective of vehicle safety and reliability, the rolled H-shaped steel has a uniform overall cross-section performance, low residual stress, and no welding defects. When used to make the girder, the safety and reliability of the vehicle are more guaranteed. From the perspective of industry management, the rolled H-shaped steel has certain specification dimensions, reducing the randomness of the steel plate dimensions during the welding of the girder, making it impossible for production enterprises to arbitrarily change the girder dimensions to meet the unreasonable requirements of users, which is conducive to the national management of the modified vehicle industry and creates conditions for the governance of overloading. From the perspective of production costs, using rolled H-shaped steel as the girder has a lower comprehensive cost than welded girders, and using rolled H-shaped steel shortens the production cycle, advances the vehicle delivery time, and thus improves the production efficiency and competitiveness of automobile manufacturing enterprises.
