Q355B-Z15 H beams, The Optimal Choice For Factory Building Construction

Features of Q355B-Z15 H beams:

Q355B-Z15 H beams, as a special type of low-alloy high-strength structural steel, focuses on enhanced performance in the thickness direction and resistance to lamellar tearing.

**Clear Z-direction Performance Grade**
It complies with the GB/T 5313 standard. "Z15" indicates that the reduction of area in the thickness direction (Z-direction) of the steel is ≥ 15%, enabling it to resist tensile tearing in the thickness direction and preventing interlaminar cracking of the plate due to stress concentration during welding.

**Stringent Impurity Control**
The impurity content is much lower than that of ordinary structural steel. Non-metallic inclusions (such as sulfides) in the steel matrix are reduced, enhancing the mechanical continuity in the thickness direction at the root.

**Outstanding Resistance to Lamellar Tearing**
Designed specifically for thick-plate welding, it is suitable for structures that need to withstand tension perpendicular to the plate surface (such as multi-directional load joints), preventing lamellar peeling in the heat-affected zone of welding.

**Balanced Strength and Toughness**
The yield strength is ≥ 355MPa, the tensile strength is 470 - 630MPa, and the impact absorbed energy at -20℃ is ≥ 34J. It not only meets the high-strength requirements but also has the ability to resist brittle fracture at low temperatures.

When cold bending or stamping thick plates (≥ 30mm), it is necessary to test the mold accuracy and deformation in advance to prevent internal micro-damage caused by slightly higher hardness.

**Industrial and Energy Engineering**
Thick-plate columns in steelmaking plants, nuclear power pressure vessels, and bases of large forging presses need to resist high temperature, heavy pressure, and welding stress.

**Marine and Transportation Engineering**
The bottom plates of ships, thick-plate joints of cross-sea bridges, and connection parts of large steel trusses need to meet both strength and seawater corrosion resistance requirements.

Hot-rolled H-shaped steel

A new energy vehicle production base project used Q355B-Z15 H beams low-alloy high-strength structural steel produced by GNEE Group. The support steel columns and steel truss structures of this project largely adopted Q355B-Z15 H beams low-alloy high-strength structural steel, with a total consumption of approximately 20,000 tons to meet the stringent requirements of the new energy vehicle production base for large-span and high-load structures.
With over 18 years of experience, GNEE has a profound understanding of the ever-changing dynamics of the steel market, enabling us to make informed decisions and provide strategic guidance to our customers. We are committed to providing the highest quality steel products. Our strict quality control measures ensure that every product leaving the factory meets the most stringent international standards.
