What is ordinary low alloy steel?

Ordinary low alloy steel is a kind of ordinary alloy steel containing a small amount of alloying elements (in most cases its total w total not more than 3%). This kind of steel has relatively high strength, relatively good comprehensive performance, and has corrosion resistance, wear resistance, low temperature resistance, as well as better cutting performance, welding performance and so on.

In a large number of saving scarce alloying elements (such as nickel, chromium) conditions, usually 1 t ordinary low alloy steel can top 1.2-1.3 t carbon steel use, its service life and the use of the range is far more than carbon steel. Ordinary low alloy steel can be smelted in the general smelting method in the flat furnace, converter smelting, and the cost is close to carbon steel.
