Products Description

EN 10025-6 S550QL Quenched & Tempered Structural Steel Plate, also known as 550Q high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel plate, is produced according to EN 10025-6, which specifies hot-rolled structural steels with high yield and tensile strength in quenched and tempered condition.

info-524-524

The manufacturing process includes:

Quenching: Rapidly cooling the steel plate faster than in still air to increase hardness and strength.

Tempering: Heat treatment applied after quenching (or other hardening processes) to achieve the desired combination of strength, toughness, and ductility.

550Q steel plates are also subjected to low-temperature impact testing at -20°C to ensure adequate toughness in cold environments.
