Preheat: Not generally required for thickness ≤ 30 mm. For 30–100 mm, preheat to 100–150°C is recommended, particularly for restrained joints.

 

Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT): Required per pressure vessel design code (e.g., EN 13445, ASME BPVC Section VIII). Typical stress relief: 580–620°C for 1 hour per 25 mm thickness, minimum 30 minutes.

 

Cold and Hot Forming: P265GH can be cold and hot formed. For hot forming, re-normalizing after forming is required to restore mechanical properties.
