H14 steel is a steel grade in the ASTM A681 standard.
AISI H14 chromium hot work tool steel contains a small amount of tungsten, which provides enhanced high temperature properties and excellent heat resistance. It exhibits minimal dimensional changes during quenching, making it ideal for use in durable die-cast molds.
H14 steel is a hot work tool steel known for its significant wear resistance, strength and toughness. It is commonly used in the manufacture of cutting tools, molds and various forms of machinery, benefiting from its excellent properties. Tungsten is added to this steel to enhance its high temperature properties and resistance to heat.
H14 steel material comes into its own in long-life die-casting molds, where its high temperature resistance and minimal dimensional changes during hardening ensure extended mold life and increased operating efficiency.
