hot work tool steel Product Introduction
AISI H12 tool steel is a general hot work steel containing 4.75%~5.5% chromium. H12 tool steel has a lower vanadium content (0.2% to 0.5%) than the widely used H13 hot work tool steel (0.8% to 1.2%).
ASTM/AISI H12 steel is a deep-hardening, air-hardening steel that undergoes minimal dimensional changes during heat treatment. H12 tool steel material has good resistance to thermal fatigue cracking (hot cracking) and has excellent resistance to coarse cracks and thermal shock when water-cooled in use.
H-12 tool steel mainly has the following characteristics: excellent wear resistance, high strength at high temperatures; good uniformity and high toughness; ultra-fine structure, no grain boundary carbides; controllable inclusion shape and high cleanliness.
