What kind of structural material is SKD-61?
SKD61 is an alloy steel for hot work dies, also known as "die steel". It is made by adding a variety of alloy elements to carbon tool steel. The chemical composition of SKD61 steel includes carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum, cobalt and other elements.
SKD61 is a tool steel material also known as H13 steel. It has high-temperature strength, thermal fatigue resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in the manufacturing of high-quality hot work molds, die-casting molds and other fields.

The same as the German 2344 material, the heat treatment hardness can reach about 56 degrees. SKD61 is a kind of high hardness, high wear resistance, strong quenchability, and dimensional stability.
