What material is SKS93 made of?

SKS93, also known as M4 steel, has the characteristics of high hardness, high strength, and high wear resistance. SKS93 is mainly used to manufacture high-precision cutting tools such as cutting tools and dies. The hardness of SKS93 is usually between 60~65HRC, which is a very hard material and can be used to process hard materials, such as steel, stainless steel, alloys, etc.

SKS93 is an alloy tool steel for cold molding. The deformation is small after quenching, and tungsten is added as a special element for cold molding of shear blades, gauges and stamping dies.

SKS93 belongs to the Japanese standard high-speed tool steel. The implementation standard is: JIS G4404-200. SKS93 is an improved steel type of SK-3. Because the manganese and chromium and other components are used to improve oil recovery and quenching, it can avoid quenching cracks and deformation that are easy to occur when quenching ordinary high-carbon steel.
