What is molybdenum used for?

Molybdenum disulfide is an important lubricant used in the aerospace and mechanical industry sectors.

Molybdenum is one of the trace elements necessary for plants and is used as trace element fertilizer in agriculture.

Pure molybdenum wire is used for high-temperature electric furnaces, EDM processing and wire cutting processing; molybdenum sheets are used to manufacture radio equipment and X-ray equipment; molybdenum is resistant to high temperatures.

Molybdenum Material

Molybdenum crucible ablation is mainly used in the manufacture of artillery bores, rocket nozzles, and light bulb tungsten filament brackets.
Adding molybdenum to alloy steel can improve elastic limit, corrosion resistance and maintain permanent magnetism. Molybdenum is one of the seven micronutrients required for plant growth and development. Without it, plants cannot survive.

Animals and fish need molybdenum, as do plants.
