Performance characteristics of h section steel
High strength and light weight: The tensile strength range is 470-630MPa (A992 material), and the strength-to-weight ratio is better than that of ordinary carbon steel (such as A36), which can reduce the material consumption by 15%-20%.
Due to the thicker flanges and webs, the bending capacity (Sx) of W21x55 and W21x57 is 16% and 25% higher than that of W21x50, respectively, and is suitable for higher load scenarios.
Corrosion resistance: The normalizing process (580-620℃) refines the grains and forms a dense structure, and the corrosion resistance to salt spray and humid environment is better than that of traditional carbon steel.
Processing adaptability: It supports flame/plasma cutting, cold bending and welding (E70/E80 welding rods are recommended), and it needs to be preheated to 120-150℃ before welding (plate thickness ≥25mm). Dynamic bearing capacity: Low temperature impact toughness (≥27J at -40℃) and elongation (≥18%) meet the high vibration requirements of bridges, heavy machinery, etc..
