W21x44 W21x48 W21x62 W21x68 Wide Flange Beam
Both W21x62 and W21x68 h steel profiles are made of high-strength low-alloy steel under ASTM standards. Common materials include A572GR50 (yield strength ≥345MPa) and A992 (tensile strength 470-630MPa). The comprehensive performance is improved by adding elements such as vanadium (V) and niobium (Nb).
Performance characteristics of h steel profile
High strength and light weight: The strength-to-weight ratio of W21x62 and W21x68 is optimized, which can reduce the material consumption by 15%-20% compared with ordinary I-beams, and at the same time increase the bending resistance by 5%-10%.
Corrosion resistance: Through the normalizing process and dense grain structure, the corrosion resistance to salt spray and humid environment is better than that of traditional carbon steel (such as A36). Processing adaptability: supports flame cutting, CNC forming and welding (E70/E80 welding rods are recommended). Preheating to 120-150℃ (plate thickness ≥25mm) before welding to reduce the risk of cold cracks.
Dynamic bearing capacity: elongation ≥18%, low temperature impact toughness (≥27J at -40℃) meets the needs of high vibration scenarios such as bridges and heavy machinery.
