HSLA (High Strength Low Alloy) steel has higher strength and resistance to atmospheric corrosion. They can be considered microalloyed steels, designed for mechanical rather than compositional specifications. A812 HSLA 65 alloy steel has higher strength and toughness than carbon steel, and its strengthening effect becomes more obvious as the degree of structural imbalance increases.
