ASME SA633 Grade E/SA633 Grade E high-strength low-alloy HSLA steel is suitable for use at low ambient temperatures and has better notch toughness requirements than rolled materials of the same strength grade.

ASME SA633 Gr. E/High Strength Low Alloy HSLA Steel has a minimum yield point of 60 ksi [415 MPa] for thicknesses not exceeding 4.0 in. [100 mm]; for thicknesses exceeding 4 to 6 in. [100 to 150 mm], the yield point is 55 ksi [380 MPa]. [100 mm] inclusive, and for thicknesses over 4 to 6 inches [100 to 150 mm] inclusive, the minimum yield point is 55 ksi [380 MPa]. SA633 Grade E steels thicker than 75 mm require double normalizing. For SA633 Grade E steels with widths exceeding 610 mm, the elongation requirement during rolling is reduced by two percentage points.
