ASTM T6 high-speed tool steel is also a tungsten-type high-speed steel in the ASTM A600 specification. ASTM T6 tool steel is similar to T5 tool steel, but T-6 steel has higher cobalt and tungsten content than T5 tool steel, and T6 tool steel has better high-temperature hardness and wear resistance.
ASTM T6 is also a cobalt-containing tungsten high-speed steel with slightly higher high-temperature hardness and a surface hardness of 63 HRC after quenching. Used for high-speed cutting tools, machine tool automation, and cutting high-strength materials.
