Tungsten-Molybdenum Alloy Properties

The tungsten content of commonly used tungsten-molybdenum alloys is 30% to 50% (by mass).

Tungsten and molybdenum alloys are produced in the same way as molybdenum metal and molybdenum alloys, i.e. by powder metallurgy after sintering and smelting, and can be produced as rods, plates, wires or other profiles.

Molybdenum alloys

Containing 30% tungsten (mass) of tungsten and molybdenum alloy has excellent corrosion resistance to liquid zinc, used in the manufacture of zinc refining industry in the agitator, pipeline and container lining and other parts.

Tungsten and molybdenum alloy due to high temperature strength, performance and tungsten similar to the specific gravity than tungsten is small, so it can be used as the corresponding high temperature conditions of rockets, missiles in the high-temperature components, filaments, parts of the electronic tube and other high-temperature materials.
