The Application Of Heavy H-beams in Railway-highway Dual-use Bridge Projects

     In the Padma Railway-Highway Dual-Use Bridge Project in Bangladesh, steel grades such as S355M, S420M, and S460M are applied, with specifications like UB610×229×140, etc., for the steel frame support parts, with a dosage of about 5,000 tons.

     This has contributed to the bridge construction and demonstrated the application strength of steel materials produced by China's GNEE Company in major bridge engineering.

     S355M, S420M, and S460M are all European standard low-alloy high-strength fine-grained steels, produced by thermo-mechanical rolling and strengthened by alloying elements. Their yield strengths are ≥355, 420, and 460 MPa respectively, featuring high strength, good toughness, and excellent weldability, making them suitable for projects with heavy loads and complex working conditions such as bridges.
