S355JR steel h profile Material characteristics
Chemical composition: S355JR is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel that complies with EN10025 standard. Its carbon content is low, generally ≤0.22%, manganese content is about 1.6% or less, silicon content is ≤0.55%, phosphorus and sulfur content are both ≤0.035%. It may also contain a small amount of chromium, nickel, copper and other elements to improve the comprehensive performance of the steel.

 

Mechanical properties: yield strength is not less than 355MPa, tensile strength is between 470-630MPa, and elongation after fracture is ≥20%. It has good plasticity, toughness and fatigue resistance, and can withstand large loads and impacts at room temperature.

 

Specifications and dimensions
HEB320 h beam: The specifications are 320mm×300mm×11.5mm×20.5mm, that is, the section height is 320mm, the flange width is 300mm, the web thickness is 11.5mm, the flange thickness is 20.5mm, and the weight per meter is about 127kg.

 

HEA320 steel h beam: The theoretical weight is 74.2kg/m, and the specific dimensions are section height 320mm, flange width 200mm, web thickness 8mm, and flange thickness 12.5mm.

 

HEB320 HEA320 S355JR structural h beam production process
It is usually produced by hot rolling process. The steel billet is heated to a suitable temperature and undergoes multiple rolling processes to gradually reach the desired shape and size. During the hot rolling process, the internal structure of the steel is optimized and the grains are refined, thereby improving the strength and toughness of the steel. At the same time, hot-rolled steel has better surface quality and higher dimensional accuracy.
