The S355JR H profile in our project
The S355JR H-beam profile holds an irreplaceable position in industrial building construction. In many of our factory projects, S355JR H-beams serve as the main beams, providing a solid and stable support system for the entire structure.
Their regular cross-sectional shape also facilitates connections and integration with other structural components, enabling the rapid and efficient construction of large-scale, long-span industrial spaces with high load-bearing capacity.
In addition, for some of our high-rise commercial building projects, the use of S355JR H-beams enhances the overall stability and seismic performance of the building, ensuring that the structure remains safe and secure even under wind and earthquake forces.
The S355JR metal steel beam is primarily used in our bridge structural components. It ensures that the bridge maintains stability under increasing traffic loads, preventing deformation or displacement and thereby significantly reducing potential traffic hazards. At the same time, the distinctive H-shaped design of the steel beams adds a unique aesthetic appeal to the bridge.
We provide S355JR H beams with tight tolerances, ensuring every beam meets strict dimensional accuracy for reliable structural performance.

As a S355JR steel beam supplier, we supply all sizes in stock. Contact us today for a free quote and ensure your project is built with steel you can trust.

Is S355 equivalent to A36?
S355JR and A36 are not directly equivalent, as S355JR has higher strength (yield 355 MPa vs. A36's 250 MPa) and guaranteed impact toughness, making it closer to ASTM A572 Grade 50 than A36. A36 is often equivalent to S235JR (yield 235 MPa), a lower EN grade.
What is the American equivalent of S355 steel?
ASTM has identified A572-50 as an acceptable substitution for S355. Both grades have similar chemical compositions and are high-strength, low-alloy structural steels.
Can S355 be hardened?
S355 is not ideally suited to hardening, though it can be subjected to limited heat treatment process such as case hardening.
What is the difference between ASTM A572 and S355?
Applications: ASTM A572 Grade 50 is commonly used in heavier construction applications requiring higher strength, while S355JR is versatile and widely used in various structural applications across Europe.
