AISI 4130 Alloy Tool Steel Product Introduction
4130 steel, also known as chromium-molybdenum steel or chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, is one of the most commonly used aircraft steels because 4130 is easy to fabricate and weld. With 0.8% to 1.1% chromium and 0.15% to 0.25% molybdenum as strengthening agents, it is also known for its hardenability, strength and ductility.
AISI 4130 alloy steel contains chromium and molybdenum as strengthening agents. The material has low carbon content and is easy to weld. At the same time, its steel properties make it a versatile metal, especially mechanical properties such as high ductility, good weldability and workability. This material is available in a nitrided condition if additional wear resistance is required.
