Differences in characteristics and uses between 15CrMo and 12Cr1MoV
The grade of steel 12cr1mov has the characteristics that the creep limit and the durable strength value of this steel are very close. It has high plasticity during sustained stretching and is generally used after normalizing and high-temperature tempering.
12cr1mov is used to manufacture superheated steel pipes, conduits, radiator pipes and related forgings in high-pressure equipment with operating temperatures not exceeding 570-585°C.

15crmo is a pearlitic heat-resistant steel. It has high lasting strength under the temperature of 500-550℃, good processability and cold strain plasticity, and acceptable weldability. It is generally used in normalizing and high-temperature tempering conditions.
15crmo can be used to manufacture boiler superheaters, medium and high pressure steam pipes and headers, and main steam pipes with a steam temperature of 510°C. After quenching + tempering, it can be used to manufacture various parts that work at normal temperature.
