ASTM A709 Grade HPS 100W steel plate is a high-performance weathering steel developed for bridge construction and structural applications requiring exceptional strength, toughness, and atmospheric corrosion resistance.
The "HPS" designation stands for High Performance Steel, which provides superior weldability, enhanced toughness at low temperatures, and extended service life compared to conventional bridge steels.
With a minimum yield strength of 690 MPa (100 ksi) and excellent Charpy V-Notch toughness, A709 Gr HPS 100W is widely used in long-span bridges, heavy load-bearing structures, and infrastructure projects exposed to harsh weather conditions.
