NM 450 wear resistant steel plate Product Introduction
NM 450 is a versatile, wear-resistant steel with structural properties. It is 50 HBW harder than AR 400 steel and has higher wear resistance for longer service life and toughness similar to AR 400 steel.
NM 450 steel is suitable for applications where abrasion resistance is required and for good cold bending applications.NM 450 is supplied in primed and sandblasted condition, resulting in a superior surface condition compared to other wear plate products on the market.
NM 450 is also available with cut edges, which reduces manufacturing costs when plates need to be butt-welded together.NM 450 also has excellent impact properties, with typical values in excess of 30 ft. lbs. at -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
