Manganese steel plates are very effective in severe wear, impact or high pressure situations and are able to work-harden their austenitic structure. It can be used for jaws in crushers, hammers or pulverizers, cutting edges in large excavators, liners in shot blasting machines, cores and walls in parpen molds and screens.
Manganese steels are not susceptible to corrosion, mainly because the increased content of manganese in manganese steels positively affects corrosion resistance, partly due to the adsorption of manganese ions.
