Heat-Treated PVQ Steel Plate Product Introduction
Pressure vessels are used in a variety of industries including refining and petrochemicals. Due to the critical nature of the processes involved, all Pressure Vessel Quality (PVQ) materials are ordered in accordance with ASME / ASTM specifications and are supplied with 100% traceable Material Test Reports (MTR).
One such specification, ASTM A612, is a pressure vessel quality (PVQ) steel specification for use in low to medium temperature environments. It is primarily used in the fabrication of welded pressure vessels where improved notch toughness is required.
A612 PVQ steel has a minimum yield strength of 345 MPa and a tensile strength of 550-690 MPa. It has good notch toughness at low temperatures.
