Q355 is a type of steel material, while Q355B steel is a carbon structural steel. It is a low alloy steel (C<0.2%) widely used in buildings, bridges, vehicles, ships, pressure vessels, and so on. Q represents the yield strength of this material, followed by 355, which refers to the yield value of this material, around 355 megapascals. And as the thickness of the material increases, its yield value will decrease.
Q355 has good comprehensive mechanical properties, decent low-temperature performance, good plasticity and weldability. It can be classified into Q355A, Q355B, etc. according to its grade. They mainly represent different temperatures of impact. Q355 Class A, does not undergo impact; Q355B grade is a 20 degree room temperature impact, and the impact values vary at different impact temperatures.
