Commonly termed an “I” Beam because of its shape, beams provide great load bearing support when used horizontally or standing as columns. E335 CARBON STEEL H BEAM is a carbon (non-alloy) steel formulated for primary forming into wrought products. Cited properties are appropriate for the hot worked condition. 1.0060 is the EN numeric designation for this material. E335 is the EN chemical designation.
It has a very low base cost among wrought carbon or non-alloy steels. In addition, it has a very low electrical conductivity and a fairly high thermal conductivity.
