Similar with other materials of the same series S355J0, S355J2.With minimum yield of 50,000 KSI, it meets requirements in chemistry and physical properties similar to ASTM A572 / 709.S355JR plates are delivered in hot rolled, controlled rolling, normalizing condition.

For carbon content (C) and nominal thickness (t), C by agreement when sections with nominal thickness > 100 mm.
For long products the P and S content can be 0.005 % higher.
If the chemical composition shows a total aluminum (Al) content of ≤0.020% or acid-soluble Al ≤ 0.015%, or if sufficient other nitrogen-binding elements are present, the N maximum does not apply. In this case, the nitrogen-binding element should be mentioned in the inspection document.
