Hot Rolled S355J0WP Corten Steel Plate is a high-performance weathering steel, equivalent to Corten A, and is also known as atmospheric corrosion-resistant structural steel. Its main alloying elements include copper (0.25–0.55%), chromium (0.30–0.60%), and nickel (0.30–0.60%), with a small addition of phosphorus (≤0.05%) to provide excellent self-protecting properties.
When exposed to air and rain over time, Hot Rolled S355J0WP Corten Steel Sheet develops a dense and stable rust layer. This layer not only gives the steel a natural reddish-brown appearance but also effectively prevents further corrosion, extending its service life by approximately 2–3 times compared to ordinary carbon steel.
In terms of mechanical properties, Hot Rolled S355J0WP Weathering Steel Plate has a yield strength ≥ 355 MPa, tensile strength 490–630 MPa, and elongation ≥ 20%, ensuring reliability under harsh conditions such as wind loads, heavy loads, and temperature fluctuations in bridges, building facades, storage tanks, chimneys, and other outdoor structures.
With its excellent corrosion resistance and high strength, S355J0WP high-strength corten steel plate has become a preferred weathering steel for modern infrastructure and engineering projects.
