A588GrK steel plate application range

A588GrK steel plate is commonly used for welding, riveting and bolting structures, but is mainly used for welded bridges and buildings that require weight reduction or life extension. This steel has significantly better atmospheric corrosion resistance than copper-containing or copper-free carbon structural steel under most environmental conditions. When fully exposed to the atmosphere, this steel is suitable for many occasions in the bare (uncoated) state.
