In atmospheric environments, the dense protective rust layer formed on 09CuPCrNi-A steel plates stabilizes within 6–12 months, with a typical service life of 30–50 years, significantly reducing maintenance costs.

The typical chemical composition of 09CuPCrNi-A hot rolled steel plate includes alloying elements such as copper (Cu 0.20–0.50%), chromium (Cr 0.25–0.50%), and nickel (Ni ≤0.30%).

These elements react with oxygen, moisture, and other environmental substances in the atmosphere to form a stable, dense oxide film, effectively preventing further corrosion of the steel.
