This product is commonly known as Chromium Carbide Overlay (CCO) plate in the market. The surfacing layer is suitable for applications with severe wear and impact. The final surfacing product suitable for your application depends on the material that impacts or slides along the surface of the worn part - whether it is rock, sand, gravel, or other substances. It also depends on the impact angle and speed, as well as the working temperature.

Compared with traditional wear-resistant plates, the advantages of products manufactured by surfacing wear-resistant plates and high-alloy wear-resistant welding wires are as follows. Traditional wear-resistant plates are manufactured by steel mills through melting and rolling. This new type of surfacing wear-resistant plate is produced by surfacing, cutting, coil plate deformation, drilling, welding and other production processes to process various wear-resistant plates, such as conveyor plates, coal feeder bottom plates/ inverted repair plates of cyclone separators, wear-resistant blades, etc. The wear-resistant life can be more than 15 times higher than that of ordinary steel plates.

Wear-resistant alloy steel plates usually have good anti-sliding and impact wear resistance. The high carbon content in the alloy increases the hardness and toughness of the steel, making it an ideal material for applications that require high impact resistance or high wear resistance. High hardness can be obtained by using high-carbon steel, and the steel will have good penetration resistance. However, compared with heat-treated alloy plates, the wear rate will be very fast because high-carbon steel is brittle, so particles are more likely to be torn from the surface. Therefore, high-carbon steel is not used in high-wear applications.
