Typical chemical composition of S235J0 includes: Carbon (C) ≤ 0.17%, Manganese (Mn) ≤ 1.40%, Phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.035%, Sulfur (S) ≤ 0.035%, and Silicon (Si) ≤ 0.55%.

Its mechanical properties include a minimum yield strength of 235 MPa, tensile strength ranging from 360–510 MPa, and elongation ≥ 26%. The steel also demonstrates good impact toughness at low temperatures, ensuring safety in structural applications.

 

S235J0 is commonly available in hot-rolled plates (thickness 4–120 mm), flat bars, square and round bars (diameter 10–200 mm), as well as profiles such as I-beams, H-beams, channels, and angles.
