Alloys 347 and 347H are high-carbon niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless steels with the addition of niobium. The addition of the element Nb gives TP347H good intergranular corrosion properties, especially for corrosive media such as acids, alkalis and salts. The steel has higher high temperature strength and better resistance to high temperature oxidation than 316 series, so it is often used as a hot strength steel.
347H stainless steel angle basic characteristics: (1) high high temperature strength and high temperature plasticity; (2) excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance; (3) good organizational stability; (4) uniform chemical composition; (5) good machinability and weldability; (6) high dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Alloy 347 Stainless Steel and 347H SS Angles are generally used where severe corrosive conditions are required, such as superheater tubes, reheater tubes, steam tubes for large boilers and heat exchangers, and refineries for petrochemical processing.
