Hot Work Die Steel Product Introduction
D-2 steel is an air-hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium steel. It has high wear resistance.D-2 steel distorts very little when precision hardened. It is heat treatable to a hardness range of 55-62 HRC and is machinable in the annealed condition. The high chromium content of D-2 steel gives it mild corrosion resistance in the hardened condition.
Application: Tools, Forming rolls, Tire shredders, knives, cutters, shear blades, stamping or forming dies, Scrap shredders, Punch, etc.
