8418 hot work tool steel Product Introduction

When cutting thick plates and steel strips, the punching edge of the mold will bear high tensile stress, so the mold must have high toughness to prevent cracking. The thicker the workpiece, the higher the requirements for mold toughness.
At this time, mold materials with high toughness and impact resistance must be selected. At the same time, it must also have good wear resistance to ensure the rationality and economy of production operations.
8418 has the following features:

Factory status: HB 160; quenching temperature: 1000~1030℃; tempering temperature: 200 300 400 highest; hardness (HRC): 53 51 51 53.
