C105U carbon tool steel
C105U is a tool steel made of carbon steel. Carbon steel is an easily forged type of steel with good cutting and processability. Carbon tool steel requires water, salt water or alkaline water quenching, is prone to deformation and cracking, and has poor wear resistance and impact resistance. Therefore, carbon tool steel can only be used to make some small hand knives or woodworking knives. It can also be used to make small cold work molds such as small punches, scissors, cold punching dies, and cold heading dies.
