Phosphorus is a harmful element. Reducing the plasticity and toughness of steel and appearing cold brittleness. It can significantly increase the strength of steel, and improve the atmospheric corrosion stability. The content should be limited to less than 0.05%.
Usually sulfur is a harmful element, which makes the hot brittleness of steel high, and the content of sulfur is limited to less than 0.05%.
