This steel has a carbon content ranging from 0.17% to 0.22%, manganese content ranging from 1.40% to 1.80%, and a silicon content range from 0.15% to 0.50%. The alloying elements added to this steel include molybdenum and nickel. Molybdenum enhancing the mechanical properties of the steel and improving its corrosion resistance, while nickel increases the toughness of the steel, making it resistant to fracture and deformation in high pressure and low-temperature environments.
The physical properties of 20MnMoNi4-5 round steel include a density of 7.85 g/cm³, a thermal conductivity of 50 W/m-k, and a specific heat capacity of 450 J/kg-k. Its mechanical properties include a minimum yield strength of 320 MPa, a tensile strength ranging from 510 MPa to 640 MPa, and an elongation of up to 22%.
This steel is available in a variety of diameters, ranging from 12mm to 850mm. It is delivered in the form of hot-rolled or forged bars, and it can be further processed to meet specific customer requirements. The surface can be peeled, turned, ground, polished, or chrome plated.
