JIS SPV235 JIS G3115 Mechanical properties
There are three main categories of JIS SPV235 JIS G3115 steel; steel plates with low-tensile strength, those with medium-tensile strength and those with high-tensile strength. Low-tensile steel plates have a tensile strength of up to 270MPa and are most commonly used in the production of boilers, container-parts, shells, and light regional ships. Medium-tensile steel plates have a tensile strength of up to 510MPa and are primarily used for intermediate-pressure vessels due to their high levels of toughness. High-tensile steel plates have a tensile strength of up to 760MPa and are mostly used in the production of high-pressure vessels for the oil and gas industry and in petrochemical plants.
The yield refers to the transition of JIS SPV235 JIS G3115 from non-uniform elastic state to elastic-plastic state after reaching a certain deformation stress. It marks the beginning of macro-plastic deformation.
