1.Effect of Carbon.

Removal of oxygen from steel is important as it can create porosities and other defects, especially when the steel is being cast. Silicon also improves the steel's ability to withstand thermal shock, making it suitable for high-temperature applications.

S355JR is BS EN 10025; S355JR is equivalent to the steel number of low-alloy high-strength structural steel (European standard EN10025) in China.
