S355J2WP steel plate Product Introduction
S355J2WP is a European standard atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, belonging to weathering steel plate, which is a low alloy steel made by adding a certain amount of alloying elements to ordinary steel. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of weathering steel is 2-8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, with * excellent mechanical properties, welding properties, etc., and the longer the time, the more obvious the corrosion resistance effect
"+N or +AR"-when the product is specified and delivered under +N or +AR conditions. The mark "+N or +AR" will be added to the steel name and steel number. Example: Structural steel (S) with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance (W) under the specified lower limit yield strength of 355MPa and the lower limit of 0C impact energy of 27] (2) and standard delivery conditions: steel EN 10025-5-S355J2W+N (or +AR); or steel EN10025-5-1.8959+N (or +AR)

If S355J2WP mechanical properties have been significantly modified by heavy coldforming, either stress relief annealing or normalised may be applied. Normalised should also be applied following hotforming outside of the temperature range of 750 - 1.050 °C and after overheating. The tensile test values given in the table apply to longitudinal samples; in case of strip and sheet steel of widths of ≥600 mm they apply to transverse samples.
