S355J0W steel is a kind of weathering steel, also known as atmospheric corrosion resistant steel, which is a low alloy steel series between ordinary steel and stainless steel.
This steel is made of ordinary carbon steel with a small amount of copper, nickel, and other corrosion-resistant elements, so that it has stronger weather resistance than ordinary steel.
In the grade representation of S355J0W steel, "S" stands for structural steel, "355" stands for the lowest yield strength of 355MPa when the thickness is less than or equal to 16mm, "J" stands for the quality identifier of the relevant impact work value, "0" stands for 0℃ impact test, and "W" stands for the resistance of steel to atmospheric corrosion. The standard of S355J0W steel plate is EN10025-5:2004.
