S355 S355J2 S355J2+N channel beam
S355NL is a normalized steel (fine-grained steel) in the EN10025-3:2004 standard. Its yield strength and tensile strength correspond to my country's Q345 low alloy steel. S355J2 is a brand of the European standard equivalent to the national standard Q345D. It is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel. Because of its good impact toughness and welding performance, this grade of steel plate is widely used in various industries.
The initial S of S355J2+N steel is carbon steel structural steel, and the 355 behind it means that the minimum yield strength at room temperature is 355Mpa. J2 requires -20°C impact. As for the +N behind it, it means equivalent to normalizing rolling, not necessarily normalizing. It is just a method of naming steel grades in the standard.
