As a carbon structural steel, ST37-2 has excellent strength and toughness. Its yield strength is usually between 340-470MPa, and its tensile strength is between 450-600MPa, which makes it perform well when subjected to heavy loads and impacts. At the same time, ST37-2 steel also has good plasticity and toughness, and can resist fracture and deformation to a certain extent. In addition, its welding performance and cold working performance are also very excellent, making it easy to process and shape during the manufacturing process.

In terms of chemical properties, ST37-2 steel is mainly composed of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and other elements. Among them, carbon is one of the main factors affecting the performance of steel. The carbon content of ST37-2 steel is moderate, which not only ensures the strength of the steel, but also avoids the increase in brittleness caused by excessive carbon content. Silicon and manganese, as alloying elements, can further improve the strength and toughness of the steel. As impurity elements, phosphorus and sulfur are strictly controlled within a certain range to ensure the quality and performance of the steel. ST37-2 steel is mainly used for riveting, bolting, and welding purposes. Structural steels such as ST37-2 are used in many applications, combining good welding properties with guaranteed strength. There are many grades, and uses include civil and industrial engineering. High-strength low-alloy has replaced many structural steels (e.g. automotive) where weight reduction is important but still has guaranteed strength. Used in construction, underground engineering.
